Australia Remembers 1939 to 1945

This plaque is to commemorate the contribution made by the Melbourne Cricket Ground towards the final victory in World War II, by its invaluable service to thousands of members of the Australian and United States Armed Forces, who at different times called this ground home.

In this the 50th anniversary of the ending of World War II.
