War Memorial Olympic Swimming PoolPrint Page
The Swimming Pool was built as a war memorial to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two.
The Mayor of Maryborough, Alderman R.D. McDowell , said the Maryborough would have an Olympic swimming pool sooner than expected. Authorities were waiting for a transfer of military land and an application for a loan had been made. The pool would be a memorial to servicemen who were killed in the last World War.
