A monument commemorates those who served in World War Two. 

There is a plaque on the rock and four plaques on the base naming members of the Northern Territory Special Reconnaissance Unit which was a special force of Yolngu men trained by Squadron Leader Donald Thomson.

In recognition of the service and sacrifice of the Yolngu men and woe=men who server australia and its allies in wars, conflicts and peace operations

They shall nor gow old, as we that are left grow old ;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning 
We will remember them.

Walala yurru yaka worrunguyirri, 
Ngunniyi walala nunhi mengunhapuy worru worrungu ;
Ngalapalyirrinydja walala yurru yakana djawaryundja,
Ga dhunggarra ngupanarayunydja dhadir` marrama.
Walu garrinyarayu ga gudarrmirri
Ngilimurru yurru birrka`yun walalanna.

Plaque :

Wirlima Mununggurr (Djapa Clan Leader) dedicates this war memorial on 5th August 1995 to these Yolngu who fought in World War II 1939 - 1945.
