The Guildford State School Honour Roll was unveiled by the Minister for Education, Mr H.S. Lawson on the 10th March 1916. The roll contained the names of 17 old scholars who were fighting inWorld War One. 

He also unveiled enlarged photos of Privates Carter and Mein, old scholars of the school who were killed in the landing at Gallipoli.
