Gowrie Junction Honour Roll Memorial Print Page Print this page

Gowrie Junction Honour Roll honours those who served in World War One. Originally on the walls of the waiting room at Gowrie Junction railway station, the district’s war memorial Honour Board was misplaced when the station was demolished in the late 1960s.

It was rescued from the scrap heap and handed to the Returned Service League in Toowoomba, and twenty years later it was given to Rosalie Shire Council and they arranged for it to be erected on a stone memorial at the Gowrie Junction State School where it was rededicated on the 25th April 1996.
