The honour roll commemorates those from Northdown and district who served in World War One.

The residents of Northdown and district turned out en masse on Wednesday night to witness the unveiling of the honor roll at the local State School. The building was taxed to its utmost capacity, and several had to be content to remain outside during the meeting. Lieut. Aylmer Green presided and, after the singing of the National Anthem, opened the proceedings with an appropriate speech.

He then introduced the Warden (Cr. M. Nichols), to whom was entrusted the task of unveiling the board, consisting of 47 names of men who had volunteered from the district, and most of whom had passed through the school. The photographs of the 12 men who had paid the supreme sacrifice were unveiled with the roll.
