The Heyfield District Honour Roll was originally unveiled in the Mechanics Hall on the 23rd September 1917 in recognition of the Heyfield and Denison volunteers who had gone on active service. 79 names were contained on the roll and 10 had already paid the supreme sacrifice. Additional names wer added at a later date.
