A monument commemorates those who served and who died in World War One.

Monument characteristics :

Monument consists of two granite pillars.  It was relocated to the memorial precinct at the rear of the Cheltenham Moorabbin RSL in 2000 from its original location in Cheltenham Park.

The memorial re-location is supported by the Commonwealth.  

Officially opened 16. 4. 2000 by the Hon. Simon Crean M.P. Federal Member for Hotham.   His Worship the Mayor Arthur Anthanasopoulos  Ward Councillor Mr Ron Brownless Member for Mordialloc Mr Geoff Leigh M.P.  Dedicated by the Rev Father Frank Martin.
