The War Memorial commemorates 89 servicemen from the district who served in World War One.  The front of the monument lists the names of the returned servicemen and the reverse those who died in service or were killed in action. 
 
Monument characteristics :
 
The monument is a 6 segmented granite tapered obelisk set upon a granite plinth and two rough granite steps.
