Plaque commemorates the district`s war veterans and the Kookaburra March.

A recruiting march of 23 men left Tooraweenah on 16-Jan-1916 to march to Bathurst via Mendoorah, Boomely, Cobbora and Mudee. Many of the Kookaburras were sent as reinforcements for the 45th Battalion.
