ANZAC Memorial Park was established in memory of those from the district who served in World War One.

A large and representative public meeting in the Gulgong Town Hall last Thursday night, decided on the arrangements for the celebration of Anzac Day in Gulgong on Thursday next. Commencing at 10.30 a.m., the memorial gates at the park entrance in in Medley-street will be officially opened, the park will be dedicated and the names of soldiers on plates on the band rotunda in the park will be unveiled, followed by a united church service to commemorate the day. The local brass band and Salvation Army band will assist with music.
