Euchareena Honour BoardPrint Page Print this page

Euchareena Honour Board commemorates those who served in World War One.

The original roll which was unveiled in 1918 was completely destroyed by a fire at the Memorial Hall in 1928. A new honour roll was unveiled on the 4th October 1929 by Sir Neville Howse M.P., V.C. on the 4th October 1929.

EUCHAREENA. Last Friday night the Memorial Hall was packed to the doors, people from long distances being present, to witness the unveiling of the honor roll by Sir Neville Howse, M.P., V.C., who was accompanied by Lady Howse and the Misses Howse. Sir Neville entered the hall between a bodyguard of returned soldiers. Lady Howse was presented by little Miss Patsy Shaw with a beautiful bouquet. The honour roll was presented by the local school children and great praise must be given to them and their energetic school teacher, Mr. James Shaw, and committee, for the success of the evening. Theobald's orchestra supplied, as usual, excellent music. Dancing was indulged in at intervals, when a beautiful supper was partaken of.
