Balldale Honour RollPrint Page Print this page

The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War One.

On Saturday last the committee of the ANZAC Day held a meeting to decide the design and other matters in connection with the roll of honor to be erected at an early date in the local hall. The one chosen will be of handsome bronze metal with brass name plates. There are 40 names to go on the roll from about a five-mile radius. Senator Millen and Mr. Ball, if available, are to be asked to perform the unveiling ceremony. The Red Cross ladies are out for funds, and will provide tea at a small fee. The shire councillors, of Hume and Coreen together with the mayor and aldermen of Corowa council, are invited to be present. It will be a red-letter day with us— the date will be notified later.
