Ocean Grove RSL Avenue of HonourPrint Page
The Ocean Grove Avenue of Honour commemorates deceased RSL members. “The Friends of the Rail Trail” made up of volunteers have planted well in excess of 200 Yellow Box Gums and suitable signage clearly marks the area. It is a fitting tribute to the Ex Service members who are designated a tree on their death.
The Friends Group have created “Friends Park” which incorporates the Avenue of Honour for the Ocean Grove RSL amongst newly planted manna, swamp, red-gum trees and native grasses, surrounded by landscaped mulched garden beds.
A Gallipoli Pine was added at the entrance of the avenue on the 15th April 2011 as a further tribute to the men and women who gave their lives for their country.
