Mitchell War MemorialPrint Page 
Mitchell War Memorial was originally erected by the residents in honour of those who paid the supreme sacrifice and in appreciation of those who took part in World War One. The names of those who lost their lives in World War Two were added to the memorial at a later date.
The War Memorial was unveiled in by Major Thomas Glasgow in 1927. It was designed and produced by monumental masonry firm A L Petrie of Toowong, Brisbane and cost £464.
