Ilfracombe Memorial Gates were erected in 1950 in honour of those who served their country. The gates were officially unveiled on Anzac Day 1951. 

A representative of the Longreach Sub-Branch of the R.S.S.A.I.L.A. and a party of members will visit Ilfracombe on Anzac Day to participate in the unveiling of the Memorial Gates erected at the entrance to the Park at lfracombe. The Ilfracombe Memorial Committee extended an invitation to the Longreach Sub-Branch to attend the unveiling in conjunction with the Anzac Day service. The Gates Were erected by the Memorial Committee and the Ilfracombe Shire Council.
