The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The memorial has been refurbished and now contains a World War One Honour Roll, as well as plaques detailing the history of the memorial and the Battle of Pozieres. The memorial was re-dedicated on the 23 July 2016. The restoration was a Centenary of ANZAC project.
