This obelisk perpetrates the memory of the pioneers of the Halls Creek District and is also in honour and memory of all those who have served their country and in particular those who have made the supreme sacrifice in the conflicts in which the forces of Australia have been engaged.   Lives of great men all remind us we can make our lives sublime and departing leave behind us footprints in the sand if time.   This memorial was unveiled by Mr R.
