The monument was originally erected in 1921 to commemorates those who died in service or were killed in action during World War One.

It was relocated from its original site and rededicated in 1996 to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in all wars and conflicts.

This memorial was rededicated on the 6th October 1996 in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek and the Returned and Services League of Victoria Inc.

This plaque is to commemorate the loss of lives in all conflicts since the Great War of 1914 - 1918.
