Sutton Public School Memorial Gates : 25-April-2011
Sutton Public School Memorial Gates : 25-April-2011

Photographs supplied by Glen Yeomans

The gates commemorate those from the district who served in World War One and World War Two.

Last Friday an avenue of ornamental trees was planted along the drive from the road to the public school. This is part of a memorial to those men from Sutton who have served in the fighting forces and, when completed, will have the names of the men, engraved on a suitable plate to be placed at the new entrance gates at the end of the drive. It is hoped to complete the work at an early date, so that the official opening can be held when all the men return home.
