The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

Lake Cargelligo is to have a hall, community centre, and Soldiers' Club Rooms for a war memorial, the estimated cost of which is about £6000. A site has been acquired in Foster Street, and almost £2000 is in hand towards the objective. The hall provides space for a ballroom 100ft by 40ft, a community lounge room, shower rooms, and a Servicemen's Club room.
