The monument commemorates local servicemen and women who served in the various conflicts and peacekeeping activities in which Australia has been involved. 

Monument Characteristics: A large black granite stone contains the names of those from the district who have served in conflicts from the Boer War to the Vietnam War. The stone is surrounded by large columns on which are etched the figures of soldiers with heads bowed.
