An "Australia Remembers" plaque commemorates those who served in the Malayan Emergency.

The Malayan Emergency was a guerilla war fought in pre- and post-independence Federation of Malaya, from 1948 until 1960. The belligerents were the Commonwealth armed forces against the Malayan National Liberation Army (MNLA), the military arm of the Malayan Communist Party (MCP). Australia's involvement began in 1950 with the arrival of RAAF aircraft and personnel in Singapore.
