Peggy Flewellyn (nee Caddy)
Peggy was introduced to skiing on Lake Bonney at an early age by her father Peter, who was one of the founding members of the Barmera Water Ski Club, which was formed in 1955.
She spent many hours training on Lake Bonney and could often be found there before and after school. Peggy’s training paid off when at age 15 Peggy became the Australian Open Women’s Slalom Champion.
Achievements:
• Australian Open Women’s Slalom Champion 1962
• Australian Open Women’s Slalom, Trick and Overall Champion 1966
• Represented Australia at two Asia Pacific Championships and two World Water skiing championships.
• Holder of 7 Moomba Masters Open Women’s titles including 3 Slalom titles, 2 trick titles and 2 overall titles
