but also a midwife for non-Aboriginal people.
This site marks the birthing tree.

A Dedication To Nellie Dungli Edwards
To ensure the history of our great
grandmother is recorded for the wider
society to read and learn.
This rock plaque would be
placed near the caravan park
as this was where the birthing
tree was until the tree was burnt down.
