Memorial stone commemorates Apex Club member Geoff Long ("Mr Apex ") for his lifetime of community service and achievement.
Geoff Long joined Kerang Apex in 1971, and managed a 100 per cent attendance record for 12 consecutive years. During that time he was club president - and later became a Life Member - and held numerous other temporary project positions. Mr Long was also involved with the Lakes Football Club and was a Kerang and District Football League administrator. He also worked for the Kerang Amateur Basketball Association and the local council.
