The Lake Bolac swimming pool has been renamed the Peter O'Rorke Memorial Pool in memory of the long time community stalwart, former Ararat Mayor and passionate Lifesaver.
Peter represented and advocated for many local, state and Australia wide organisations. He was passionately involved with many organisations which included various Lake Bolac committees, the Country Fire Authority, the Surf Life Saving Authority, and Local Government.
Peter was a champion swimmer and was instrumental in the development and construction of the Lake Bolac Recreation Complex.
