The memorial was erected over the grave in memory of Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Sharp for their services to Australian soldiers during World War One.

A memorial to the late Mr. and Mrs A. T. Sharp, formerly of Geelong, has been erected in the Box Hill cemetery. It is to be unveiled on Saturday afternoon next, at 2.30 p.m., by the Hon. W. H. Edgar, M.L.C. Others to take part in the ceremony are the Rev. A. T. Holden, Messrs. J. M. Reed and W. Walchhorn. The memorial bears the inscription. "In grateful memory of Mr. and Mrs. A. T.  Sharp for their devoted services to Australian soldiers in the Great War, 1914-1919. Erected by relatives, soldiers, and other friends." In view of the fact that the late Mr and Mrs. A. T. Sharp did so much for Geelong boys in particular when in London, it is hoped that this city will be well represented at the unveiling ceremony next Saturday afternoon.
