Nicola Del Borrello Print Page
Borrello Park commemorates Nicola Del Borrello (1896 - 1983) for his contribution to the community.
Nicola was born in Italy in 1896 and came to Australia in 1927. He settled in the Perth Hills region, settling in Roleystone working on Two Brooks Vineyard and Orchard which he eventually purchased. At that time the ‘Two Brooks’ site was mostly uncleared, but over the coming years the land was cleared and planted with grape vines and fruit trees.
Once settled Nicola finally brought his wife and four children out from Italy to join him in 1935. Nicola passed away on February 6th 1983 at the age of 87. Two Brooks Orchard is now sub- divided for housing and the adjoining parkland is named ‘Borrello Park’ to commemorate his contribution to the region.
