The marble plaque commemorates Susan Hodson who was President of the Country Women`s Association (CWA) from 1925 to 1931. The plaque was part of a Memorial Rest Room erected in 1935, by the CWA, on ground provided by the RSL.
Our present objective is the building of a rest and club room, to be called the Susan Hodson Memorial Rest Room, in memory of our late beloved past president. The Yeppoon sub-branch of the R.S.S.I. League has granted us the use of a portion of its ground for a building site. In the very near future we hope that all those present today will again be present at the opening of that building.
