A drinking fountain, erected by the residents, commemorates Harry Brody for his service to the community.
There was a very large attendance at tne Memorial Park on February 2 when a drinking fountain erected by friends in memory of the late Harry Brody was unveiled by the chairman of the Beverley Road Board (Mr. G. L. Weaver). Mr. Brody, who died on January 29. 1939, was noted for his great service to the community and tributes to his unselfish work on behalf of local organisations throughout his life were paid by speakers at the unveiling ceremony.
At the time of his demise Mr. Brody was an officer of the Beverley Brigade and had always taken the keenest interest in the movement.
