Plaque celebrates the international acting achievements of television and film star Portia de Rossi. The unveiling ceremony coincided with her visit to Australia with partner and American television personality Ellen DeGeneres. Portia , also a philanthropist who supports several charities, was born in Horsham on January 31, 1973 at Wimmera Base Hospital.
Portia Lee James DeGeneres (born Amanda Lee Rogers; 31 January 1973), known professionally as Portia de Rossi is an Australian actress, best known for her roles as lawyer Nelle Porter on the television series Ally McBeal and Lindsay Fünke on the sitcom Arrested Development.
