The sculpture Space-Time 11 presented to Newcastle in 1981 in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Ube City. The sculpture is three solid stainless steel triangles mounted on a triangular concrete base 3 meters high.
Ube is a city located in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on the Seto Inland Sea. The city was founded on November 1, 1921. Ube has been a sister city with Newcastle since 1980.
