The Pioneer Settlers Tree

This seedling from the Herbig family tree was planted on November 6, 2011 at thanksgiving celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the opening of our Friedensberg Church and School.

It honours the faith and fortitude of those German pioneer families who founded and nurtured our St. Johannis Congregation, giving thanks to God for the countless blessing we have enjoyed.
