Dedicated to the pioneers of Marradong and Boddington

The first farms in this area were established more than 130 years ago.  The productive farmland and thriving community that exist today are the result of the pioneers` dreams and their hard work.  Assisted by their wives, children and horses, farmers cleared and farmed the land through many difficult times. Local Aboriginal people, whose ancestors had lived in the area for thousands of years, also worked on the farms as labourers and shearers, as did migrants for many different nations.  Some went on to establish their own farms.  Together, all these people formed a community based on fine wool production.  And let`s not forget the contribution of our faithful friends, the dedicated sheep dogs.

So to all our pioneers of yesteryear, we say thank you, your hard work and dedication will always be remembered.
