The plaque commemorates the centenary of primary education and the golden jubilee of secondary education at the Wandoan State School.
Juandah Provisional School opened on 30 October 1911. It became a State School on 1 March 1916. Due to low student numbers, it closed in 1922 but reopened in 1923. It was renamed Wandoan State School in 1924.
