Every day firefighters place themselves in harms way to protect the communities they serve. SInce 1877 many Queensland Firefighters have lost their lives in the performance of their duty.
This memorial recognises both the Firefighters who have paid the ultimate price, and their colleagues, those Firefighters who are dedicted to providing fire and rescue services for the urban, rural and remote communities of Far North Queensland.
