Area Map
The Karoonda School was built and opened in 1917. In January 1941 Karoonda became the first area school in South Australia.
The schools shown on the map were progressively closed and the students were transported to Karoonda.
This plaque was initially erected by the Karoonda C. W. A. in 1986
