The plaque commemorates the 75th anniversary of Richlands Red Cross Branch. 

RED CROSS AT TARALGA. A meeting of Taralga ladies interested in Red Cross work was held at the public school on Thursdayat 4 p.m. It was largely attended, and great interest was shown in the movement. Captain Ross, who was in the chair, was elected president, and the Rev. A. Crowley, secretary and treasurer, to assist the lady collectors. The following were appointed collectors: — Mrs. Vernon, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Mills, Mrs. W. D. Mackenzie, Miss Davis, Miss North, Miss V. Goodhew, and Miss Ross. All friends of the Red Cross Society are requested to help.
