This stone and sculpture commemorates the restoration of Levings Park, instigated by Soroptimist International of Cobram Barooga through the Moira Shire Leadership Program. Soroptimist International is the largest women`s service group in the world working within the community to help those in need throught advocacy, education, peace and goodwill.
Soroptimist derives from the Latin "Soro" for Sister and "Optima" for best - literally "WOMEN AT THEIR BEST". The Soroptimist symbol depicts the oak tree for strength and the olive tree for peace.
