Commissioned On 20th April 1936 For The Air Defence Of Melbourne And Continues As An Active Reserve Squadron Of The Royal Australian Air Force.
The Squadron served with distinction in
Malaya 1941-1942, Markham Valley 1944, New Guinea 1944,
Borneo 1945, Morotai 1945
