The Lyndoch Library building commemorates those who served in World War Two.
A public meeting was held on the 20th February 1947, to decide on what form a memorial would take to honour those who had served in World War Two. Several ideas were mentional including an honour roll, memorial gates and an improvement to the Institute Hall. No agreement was made at the meeting on what form the memorial should take but a motion was carried that it would be advisable to form a committee before funds were expended.
