The wooden honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War Two.  The roll lists 27 names.

In the Winnaleah Hall on Wednesday evening, the Honour Roll Committee brought their efforts to a successful conclusion when a very fine Honour Roll was unveiled containing the names of those who served in the Second World War. The Roll is similar in design to that of the First War, -and being placed one on either side of the hall stage, record their silent tribute of appreciation at all public functions. Representatives from all parts of the North-East assembled at the ball which was held in conjunction with the unveiling ceremony. The Scottsdale Sub-Branch, R.S.L., was represented by Mr. Leon Dinham, and Mr. H Shackel represented the South Mount Cameron Sub-branch. During the playing of a patriotic tune, all returned men assembled on the stage, and absolute silence prevailed when the chairman (Mr. H. Mace) introduced the speakers.

Mr. H. Shackel expressed the appreciation of the R.S.L. at being invited to attend and take part in the ceremony. The unveiling was carried out by Lt.Col H. E. Spotswood, M.C., who had many of those whose names appearing on the roll in his command at various times. He stated that from time immemorial the youth of our land had marched away to do and if needs be, die for the eternal right. The fine Roll and number present testified how much the sacrifice was appreciated. The unveiling of an Honour Roll was more than some names in gold on beautiful wood; it was a re-dedication by the people to make our land the land of the serviceman's ideal.
