The honour roll commemorates those who served in World War Two.
A welcome home dinner to exservicemen was held at Sprent on Friday evening, when approximately 40 men were entertained. The function was arranged by Mr Len Rodman on behalf of the Sprent Hall Committee. The Warden, on behalf of residents, welcomed the men on behalf of the district, and thanked them for the service they had rendered the country.
An adjournment was then made to the dance hall where a dance was in progress Mr. Rodman, introducing Colonel Milledge, said the district had constructed a memorial supper room at a cost of £275, and a Roll of Honor had been prepared on which was inscribed the names of those who had served with the forces during the war. The Warden unveiled the Honor Roll, after which Mrs. Rodman placed a wreath, and the ' Last Post" was sounded by Bugler Quantrell in memory of those who had died on service.
