17-February-2015
Photographs supplied by Arthur Garland
The hall was erected to commemorate those who served in World War Two.
Rocherlea residents will soon have a memorial hall worth £3000 built by voluntary labour at a fraction of that figure. The dilapidated and weather-worn old community hall at present at Rocherlea will be partly, rebuilt and a 40ft. by 36ft. extension made. The result will be a 60ft. by 36ft. modern hall. Plans for the new hall were drawn up without cost by a retired architect, Mr. W. Fuller.
Examiner (Launceston), 2nd March 1953.
