The War Memorial Centre was erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two.
The 7 names of those who lost their lives are inscribed on a bronze plaque which is set in on a stone plinth in the centre of the Huon Highway and Memorial Drive. The plaque is difficult to read.
The centre which included a returned servicemen's club, a building for youth organisations, a pre-school, and other facilities no longer exists as a unit.
The war memorial community centre which will include a returned servicemen's club, a building for youth organisations, a pre-school, and other facilities is planned for Geeveston.

This War Memorial Centre was establised by the citizens of the Geeveston District in grateful remembrance of these men who gave their lives in the cause of freedom during the Second World War
