The War Memorial Centre was erected to commemorate those who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two.
The 7 names of those who lost their lives are inscribed on a bronze plaque which is set in on a stone plinth in the centre of the Huon Highway and Memorial Drive. The plaque is difficult to read.
The centre which included a returned servicemen's club, a building for youth organisations, a pre-school, and other facilities no longer exists as a unit.
The war memorial community centre which will include a returned servicemen's club, a building for youth organisations, a pre-school, and other facilities is planned for Geeveston.
