Uraidla & District Honour RollPrint Page
The honour roll commemorates those from Uraidla and District who died in service or were killed in action during World War Two.
Organised by the Uraidla sub branch of the R.S.L. a most successful carnival, attended by between 500 and 600 people, was held at the Memorial Park on Saturday last. During the afternoon a plaque was unveiled by Mr. H. L. Sprigg in memory of the six men of the district who made the supreme sacrifice. They were: S. Bonnett, E. E. Miller, P. A. Badenock, R. Hales, K. Trenorden and E. C. Harrison. The plaque was presented by the school committee, who were also responsible for planting a number of trees earlier in the year.
