The honour roll consists of two boards which commemorate those from the District who served in World War Two.

Bearing the names of 480 men and women from these districts who enlisted in World War II, the Streaky Bay and Districts Honour Roll has been placed in the Streaky Bay hall. The handsome roll was made by Angorichina at a cost of £155. On it are inscribed the names of all personnel of the various centres in the Streaky Bay District Council area who enlisted in the last war. The roll, which will be unveiled on Sunday, January 14, at 3.30 p.m., will be transferred to the proposed memorial building when that has been erected. In the meantime it will remain displayed on the left-side wall, in the hall.

The unveiling will be performed by the president of the memorial building committee (Mr. C. F. Zippel), who is, himself, a veteran of World War I, and who lost a son in the last war. An official invitation to be present at the unveiling has been extended to Mr. A. W. Christian, M.P., and to Wirrulla, Poochera and Streaky Bay R.S.L. sub branches. It is hoped that the general public from all parts of the district will  be present in full force. Everyone is cordially invited. The secretary of the memorial committee (Mr. C. L. Symons) said on Monday that it was hoped to take up a collection at the unveiling, the money to be used towards defraying the cost of the honour roll.
