The car park commemorates Pilot Officer H. G. Norton, Sergeant T. J. H. Tregenza and those who served in World War Two.

Pilot Officer Norton was serv­ing with 44 Squadron, Royal Air Force when Lan­caster ED433 in which he was in, crashed near its target of Kasser in Germany on 3 October 1943.
