The foundation stone from the Methodist Church Memorial Kindergarten commemorates the servicemen of the church who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two. The kindergarten was demolished in 1987.

Enfield Methodist Church will celebrate its centenary next year. Highlight of the centenary celebrations will be the erection of a £5,000 kindergarten building as a memorial to servicemen from the church, killed in the last war.
